Teach your child why and how the technology around them operates by learning to code and speaking to the machines around them. Coding helps children become confident problem solvers.

Just like English is used for communicating with humans across the world, learning coding (using block based and syntax-based approach) will teach them how to communicate with machines and automate processes which humans take more time to complete. Coding will build their logic, make them creative, improve their math skills and show how automation is applied in science, commerce, arts, medicine and engineering.

Scratch (7+)

Create stories, game and animations. Scratch is the first step to build logic of your child for solving real-world problems. All you need to do is to logically move the blocks around. It is super friendly and fun to work with.

Scratch is used as the foundation for difficult programming languages. As your child gains command in Scratch, it will be used for coding Robots.

Python (12+)

Teach your child to communicate with machines as adults do. They will be able to logically automate laborious tasks and develop games.

Python is presently one of the most popular programming languages in the world. Applications such as Instagram, Google, Dropbox and Battlefield 2 use Python extensively.

All future applications that will have any element of AI will be built on Python as the amount of code required to be written is far less than other languages such as C++, Java etc.

WeDo 2.0 (7+)

Ignite child’s natural desire to code and foster imagination and curiosity. Introduce them child to the LEGO brick using friendly block-based software.

WeDo 2.0 [tooltip here] will develop competency of your child through hands-on lesson plans across key science topics such as Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth and Spaces Sciences and Engineering, Technology and Applications of Science. Projects lets child discover, for example, the surface of Mars with a model rover or explore the Amazon rainforest through frog metamorphosis.

Designed with collaboration in mind, your child will also develop to computational thinking and learn engineering principles in a fun and engaging way.

WeDo 2.0 + Scratch (8+)

Teach your kid to interact with WeDo 2.0 creations using Scratch’s  block-based programming approach and add animations and sounds on the screen.

Prior experience of Scratch and WeDo. 2.0 required.

LEGO NXT/EV3 (8+)

Teach your child to think, apply STEAM concepts to build machines which they encounter in everyday life and solve real-world problems. Give your child new perspective and new sense of creativity and imagination!

Your child will use NXT-G, a graphical computer programming language, which drag-and-drop programming environment to program the LEGO MINDSTORMS  NXT robotics kit.

Various projects such as self-drive cars, remote controlled devices, space rover, forklift, electric guitar, hammer car, ball shooter, checkout sensor, path measurer, light meter, etc. can be developed using LEGO MINDSTROM NXT.

Your child will receive engaging, hands-on experiences from an early stage which will link core STEAM concepts to the real-world and everyday life.

Arduino (14+)

Popular with kids who are interested in electronics, Internet of Things (IoT), smart vehicles, smart appliances, smart homes, smart offices and smart cities around the world.

You child will learn how machines communicate with each other like the way humans do for automating tasks, taking decisions or actions. We use Arduino IDE and also python to write code and make cool IoT projects.

Using Sensors, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, apps and other important components we teach students to create IoT models and discover their future.

Raspberry Pi (14+)

Tiny computer can be used for robot brains, smart home hub, media center, networked AI core, factory controller and much more. It can open opportunities for your child to create their own automated projects and experiences using Scratch and Python.

Your child may also enter reputed international competitions such as Pi Wars in which school-aged teams build Raspberry Pi-controlled robots and then compete in non-destructive autonomous and remote-controlled challenges.

3D Modeling & Printing (14+)

Super Upgrade your child’s CV. Let them answer their own questions on the topic and impress professors at top colleges across the globe, by assisting our Doctorate Faculty in their advanced research projects. Your child will be able to co-invent with our Doctorate Faculty a new knowledge on the topic or correct earlier knowledge to be more accurate. As a co-author of the innovative research article, your child can present it at international conference in front of professors from top colleges across the globe and get their face-to-face attention prior to college application. Upon publication in an international journal of repute can publicize it across the globe to top colleges for admissions and companies for internships.

Using Python as the underlying programming language teach your child hands-on AI.

Our courses are designed to understand various AI libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow and Keras to make classification systems for predicting outcomes, regression systems for forecasting values, time-series analysis, neural networks and deep learning. This bridge course is recommended for students who wish to explore or study Mechatronics and related disciplines of engineering in College. Whereas, for others it gives them a whole new perspective on how robots are used in different subjects, disciplines and industry sectors and make our human life more productive.

Over the years our teams have won many International Robotics Competitions and made India proud. Many have entered top colleges across the world. They could prove to the selection committee that they are the good in planning, prototyping, coding, mechanics, execution, testing and multidisciplinary applications.

World Robot Olympiad

WRO, founded by USA nonprofit organization, is an event for science, technology and education which brings together the young people all over the world to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions. Today, over 70,000 youth age 7 through 25 participate in WRO local tournaments held in over 70-member countries.

Team of three students to participate and compete at the local and national level for the right to travel to the WRO International Final, which takes place in a different country each year. Participating teams need to create, design and build a robot model that look or behave like a human athlete.

World Robot Olympiad India (WRO India) is one of the largest Robotics competitions in India for students between the age group of 9 to 25 years, held since 2006.

Update: Our teams are won 1st position in the regionals and are will be competing at National Level on 8th September 2019.

FIRST LEGO League

FLL is an opportunity to immerse children in the real-world science & technology challenges through a fun-filled exploration journey alongside enhancing their life skills. Suitable for age group 9 to 16 years, students participate in teams of 2-10 members guided by one or two adult coaches.

Teams participating in FLL program have to carry out Robotics Game & Design, Research Project and Core Values such as Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, Fun.

FLL India was launched in 2009 and more than 1000 teams have enjoyed the journey since then impacting several thousand students every year. India STEM Foundation organizes FLL India at Regional & National level. The regional competitions are held in several major cities in the past including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai & Pune. Teams that qualify at the regional level culminate at the National Championship and teams qualifying at National have opportunities to represent India at multiple International Championship (World Festival at USA, Asia-Pacific Championship at Australia, European Open Championship, and International Open Championship).

FIRST Tech Challenge

Robotics based competition designed by US FIRST for students of ages 14 to 18. The challenge registration commences in September. The national championship will be in February followed by the world championship in the month of April.

FTC requires teams to build & program their robots using standard kits and play a sophisticated game obliging set of rules and regulations. While the program intends to develop STEM skills in participating students, it will also enable them to appreciate innovation, hard work, knowledge sharing, teamwork & other important life skills. Participants also learn prototyping, 3D modelling & engineering bookkeeping, automation and control systems.

FTC develops problem solving, people orientation and organizational skills. Students can also market their work and brand their teams to earn sponsorship in their community.

A participating team can have 3 to 15 members and 2 to 3 coaches/mentors. Team must read through the year’s challenge and possess necessary participating kit. The kit is reusable from year to year and programmable using variety of languages.

Along with lot of learning, FTC also provides access to over 10 million dollars of scholarships in leading universities at USA.

FIRST Robotics Competition

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community. FIRST Robotics Competition is as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. It’s a sport where all participants may choose to become a professional.

Aryan Sharma, Aged 17, a student of Pathways World School, Aravali and Founder of North India’s 1st FRC Team is a FIRST Alumni. Aryan has already participated in several FIRST competitions like FLL, FTC, and FRC in India, Australia and USA. RoboGenius Academy will be using its own rich experience to provide the necessary team management, technical and mentorship support to this FRC team.
